Acclaimed as both a performer and teacher, Ian Hrdlicka is a classical guitarist driven by sharing the joys of music making with audiences and students alike. Ian has performed concerts in both the U.S and Europe, played in masterclasses for leaders of the guitar world such as Jason Vieaux and Rovshan Mamedkuliev, and has achieved considerable success in International Guitar Competitions.
Ian earned a Bachelors of Music Performance from the University of Georgia in 2019 and is scheduled to earn a Masters of Music Performance from UGA in Spring 2021. During his studies, he is also serving as a Graduate Assistant to Dr. Daniel Bolshoy. Despite primarily being a classical guitarist, Ian was introduced to the guitar through folk and bluegrass music as a child in North Carolina and continues to play and teach in these styles regularly. Away from the guitar, Ian enjoys going for long runs, working in his garden and watching basketball.
