Camp Descriptions

Piano Camp

June 28- July 2

9AM-12PM, Rising K-5

Designed for total beginners and those with some piano experience. We will explore music of famous piano composers, work on several pieces for the end of the week recital program, do arts and crafts, and work on rhythm and ensemble skills. Children will learn about music history, music theory, and get individual coaching on playing songs. Complete beginners will leave knowing the basics of the keyboard and those with previous experience will hone their skills as they work on exciting new pieces. 

Music + Art Camp

July 12-16

9AM-12PM, Rising K-5

This camp will be half art and half music and 100% FUN! Join us as we focus on how musicians and artists inspire one another as children get to learn and create both music and art! Musicians are also inspired by great artists and we will be studying the music of Claude Debussy, George Gershwin, Modest Mussorgsky, and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel. These composers all wrote famous masterpieces after seeing great paintings, one of them dabbled in creating his own art and one married an artist! 

Kidzrock Camps

June 21-25, July 5-9, July 19-23

9AM-12PM, ages 4-7

Our popular Kidzrock program comes to stay for the whole entire week! Youngsters get to be in their own rock band, learning songs on keys, guitar and drums and putting on a concert for their raving fans at the end of the week! In addition to jamming out to great tunes, they will design some sweet custom rock’n’roll t-shirts, create music-themed crafts and enjoy daily dance parties! This one is limited enrollment, don’t miss out! 

Guitar Camp

June 14-18

9AM-12PM, Rising K-5. 

Designed for total beginners and those with some guitar experience. We will explore music of famous guitarists and bands, work on some music or riffs for the end of the week recital program, do arts and crafts, and work together on rhythm and ensemble skills. Complete beginners will leave knowing the basics of guitar and those with previous experience will hone their skills as they work on exciting new pieces. 

Songwriting/Vocal Training Camp

June 7-11,

9AM-12PM, Ages 9-18

Does your preteen or teen have dreams of starring on Broadway? Being the lead singer in their own band? Expressing themselves with lyrics and music? Join our songwriting & vocal training intensive! Receive one-on-one vocal coaching sessions to develop a strong technique and great sound. Get inspired with specific suggestions on how to be a music creator. Learn how to accompany yourself on guitar or piano as you sing. Receive stage presence instruction and feedback. Mostly importantly, learn to BELIEVE in yourself as you put yourself out there in the world as an artist and musician! By the end of these two days, your teen will feel inspired to confidently share their art with the world as they build their practical skills AND their self-esteem.
